TouchIT Technologies' IR technology is based on a combination of IR LEDs and Photo Transistors that are aligned in pairs around the screen or board. The firmware is then loaded which specifies the size of the board. These pairs of LEDs and Photo Transistors are then calibrated and are essentially casting a grid over the surface. When the surface is touched, this breaks the line of sight between the LEDs and the Photo Transistors. Where the break occurs this position is converted into an 'X' and a 'Y' coordinate which the computer then converts into a mouse position. With a resolution of 4096 x 4096, this is a very accurate technology.
Our range of LCDs incorporate full HD panels combined with our IR technology to create the ultimate in touch LCD technology. We even finish our LCDs with a 4mm tempered glass finish. This ensures that the product is built for all environments.
Both TouchIT Vote and TouchIT Tablet use 2.4G Radio Frequency (RF) Wireless Technology. RF is simple and easy to use which makes it ideal for plug and play devices.
TOUCHIT BOARD SURFACE
The TouchIT Board surface is made from ecologically friendly enamel steel from Polyvision. This low glare surface it ideal for use as both a dry erase marker surface, or a projection screen. This means the TouchIT Board is the ultimate interactive whiteboard as it cane be used both with and without a projector. The surface also comes with a 30 year guarantee so we know it is built to last!
